Traditional schools, Sudbury schools, Antroposofic schools, Nature schools, yes, even Unschooling. I enjoyed deepening my understanding of them in the last few years. All different systems in which children can unfold their potential and BLOOM like a flower.

The best system? The one where the HEART can FLOURISH.

Where discovery, curiosity and connection is at the core of it all. Where we encourage each child’s unique gifts and interests. The world is an exciting place – where each and everyone can joyfully discover themselves, their place and life. Be reassured: HAPPY children who can express their unique potential will land well on their feet.

The system is a bit shaky, yes, and the world is kind of strange right now (hasn’t it always been?). But all will be fine. We can learn from this.
Don’t worry if your child does not know how to use the genitive or how to unravel logarithms (what?). Trust and let go of the idea that they may have a knowledge gap. Children learn continuously. They naturally want to discover, understand, get their teeth into something, play the game of the world… – and win!
And at the end of the day… The winner is… The one who walks through life with love.

Let us remember to make this a priority. Despite the course materials they are supposed to catch up with. Six months of learning delay? Let us rather prevent them from having an early burnout. Our generation knows this far too well. We can choose differently.
I met travelling parents who homeschool their children, spoke to parents creating their own schools. I saw children pursuing their own interests and quenching their thirst for knowledge and skills. All within a directive and supportive framework, but without structural enforcement.

Other systems are not necessarily better. And one size does not fit all. But…When the pressure to perform is at the expense of love for life, the world is upside down.

The last one is priority, it is exactly this which stimulates learning, which drives us to get the hang of something. It flows naturally within children. And then, sometimes, it disappears under a thick veil of dust, indoctrination and exhaustion…
Today there is pressure on the education system, pressure on teachers, pressure on parents and pressure on students. And haste makes waste. What does matter then?

Are they surrounded with care and love? Are they being encouraged? Is their unique individuality stimulated and are there opportunities for them to develop this potential?

If we keep on remembering that this is the essence, they will find their way. Even more, maybe we can prioritize this for all of us in the coming year: to let go of all non-essential things, and arrive to the heart of the matter. A loving, nourishing, positively stimulating environment for everyone is really all one needs as a basis to thrive.

About a week ago, I had a ticket to Milan, to volunteer in Damanhur. The situation with the coronavirus worsened in that area, and my flight got cancelled. Then, talking to a friend from Auroville, I considered returning to India. Two days later, the Indian government postponed all tourist visas until 15th of April. “When you make plans, God laughs at them”, as they say. The message for me was clear: stay put. 

Trust that Life has the best for you in store. When things don’t turn out the way you thought they would, most probably it’s for the good and in your best interest, even if you cannot see it yet.

I believe there is something far greater, far bigger, more magical, unconditionally loving, beyond anything anyone can imagine. An endless light, divine wisdom, absolute truth, loving guidance. Within us, beyond us, everywhere, everything. When I don’t know the way and I feel lost, as it happens, I return to this trust. And the way will show.

Birds… I can actually hear birds singing! I haven’t been awake this early in such a long time. What a bless. How much peace and quiet there is at 5 am in the morning. More deeply than ever, I understand how much pollution is affecting my life. Living in a city, on so many levels, and in the very core of my being, simply doesn’t make sense. Pollution of sounds, pollution of smells,… dozens of faces and impressions each day. One big, constant sensory overload in a “concrete jungle”.

Sometimes people told me: “but this is the real world and we need to learn to live in it”. Not really. Yes, it’s the world some of us grew up in. It’s the one many chose to build their lives in. But that doesn’t make it any more or less real than life in a village, a community that sets its own currency, living in a van while travelling or in a tree house forest community.

Let me get to the point. The real life: it’s what you make of it. Wherever you are.

For some, this may sound like the voice of a dreamer. But as a matter of fact, it is your dreams that create your reality. Every single thing that has ever been created, every single thing you see around you in the visible world, once originated from a simple idea. It stemmed from a thought, a picture, a dream someone had.
Look around you. A book on your shelf, a car with four wheels, traffic lights with three colors, a school building, bottled water, churches, computers, the internet, everything…! Some were great ideas, some less.
If everyone can do it, so can you and so can I. We are here to create wonderful things. We are here to create a better, sustainable, good life for all of us.

So keep dreaming, as big and as high as you can.

Go deep in your heart’s desire, ask her what she dreams of. Listen with all the gentleness of the world. Your heart knows, she has more intelligence than we grant her. You were born with a seed in your heart, a desire bigger than anything, calling out to be followed through.
Even if you can’t hear its voice yet… The more you listen to your heart, the more it will start whispering to you. Soon enough, it will burn with passion.
Get your brain aligned, partner up, and envision your dream. Visualize what makes you happy. Use the power of your mind to make the way forth, practically, intelligently. And bring this dream into reality. The world is waiting for more precious ideas to rise.

From a heart’s dream to reality: it’s a pregnancy. Like any seed in the ground, it needs to be watered. It needs love. And kindness. And time. Cherish and nourish the dream, ’til it’s ready to be born.

Who else of the sensitive souls out there has been facing darkness for a while and feels like 2020 is bringing an intense change?
A stream of accelerated consciousness. A breath of fresh air. New insights. Inner growth.
Grab that wave, take the river downstream and, I tell you, do not stop following the current.
Do you know that sudden realization as if everything has already been planned out for you? As if the ride and all the wonderful stops have already been set up for you. Just waiting for you to step out, take the courage and claim your place in life.
It’s a matter of finding your own power back and shifting your intentions. Do you want to feel good? Do you want to grab life with both hands and live it fully? It’s a decision, moment to moment, day after day. And if you want it, nothing can stop you.

Physically, I’ve been in Antwerp, Belgium again, the place where I was born and raised. In the last two weeks, the clouds have appeared, summer has switched into autumn and winter is knocking at the door. In short time the air has changed, and with this it seems everything is changing again.

In the depth of my being, I always felt the city is not “my place”. I have a desire to be in nature, to live in an easy rhythm of life. And most importantly, I want to live more closely related with similar-minded people who want to make a meaningful shared experience of this time here on earth.

We all have stuff in our lives we feel are not right for us or not making us happy. Whether it is our job, the place where we live, or even our partner. What truly makes us happy though, are not the circumstances outside of us. It is who we are and how we feel, think and act accordingly. It is our own inner happiness, and we do not need a single thing for that to be in place. That’s seriously a tough one. But it’s true.

Because once we find the gate to our inner treasure chamber, our outer life turns to gold as well.

What one truly needs is this: a good, consistent build-up of gratitude, positive thinking, a commitment to feeling good and being true to oneself. A resolute faith and ever expanding trust in life, in the way, in change. Yes, it’s easier said than done. But it can be done, and, in the story of one’s own awakening, it is the only way.

So where we are is where we start. From here, let’s dig into the mind-body connection by Dr. Joe Dispenza.

Basically, he says the following: “Your personality creates your personal reality. Your personality is made up of how you think, how you act and how you feel. It means then, if you want to change your life, your personal reality, that means fundamentally you have to change your personality. That means you have to start thinking about what you’ve been thinking about and change it. You have to begin becoming aware of your unconscious patterns and behaviours and modify them. Then you have to look at certain emotions that keep you anchored to the past and decide if those emotions belong in your future.“

I really like his clear explanation of this process. He calls this: ‘Getting beyond yourself’.
“Now you’re ready to create something else. So what thoughts do you want to fire and wire on your brain? What behaviours do you want to demonstrate? The act of rehearsing the behaviour begins to install the neurological hardware on your brain, and primes it to look like the experience has already happened.”

That means, along this line, that you have a choice. Either you’re “defined by a vision of the future, or by memories of the past“.

Joe expands more:

“Once you start thinking about that vision of your future, you’re activitating the creative centers in your brain. And the act of doing that when you’re truly passsionate and truly present, the moment you’re defined by that vision when the thought in your mind becomes the experience, you begin to feel the emotion of the event before it’s made manifest. Now you’re giving your body a sampling, a taste of the future… Now you’re combining a clear intention (coherent brain) with an elevated emotion (coherent heart) and now you’re beginning to change your biology and you’re seeing a whole new landscape that you could never see before because you’re no longer viewing your future through the lens of the past.“

Heaven, yes. That is consciousness talk through the scientific eye. What Joe explains in this video is the intellectual approach of what I like to refer to as Abraham Hicks’ channeled wisdom, my favorite. If you’re still with me, I’ll go into Abraham’s teachings, same idea, different language, straight from Source… Basically, Abe teaches:

Get happy first. And then.
Let go of all the conditions you think you need to be fulfilled before you can feel good.
Feel good. And then.

Do you believe you are the creator of your own reality? We are. With every single thought and emotion, with every single belief, we are creating all around us. Our thoughts and feelings are continuously creating the world we live in. Our state of being is defining everything we attract. Everything we want is continuously manifesting. We are magnetic beings, manifestors of our own reality, and when we become conscious of this, we can learn to direct our focus, and choose for clarity, joy, happiness, appreciation. No matter what the circumstances are.

When we start consciously playing around with this, oh, that’s when we are in for a sweet ride.

So, repeat after me.

I am the creator of my own reality. I choose to feel good. Every single day I choose to focus on better-feeling thoughts. I can do this.
I am a powerful creator and everything I truly want and why I came here is written in the seed of my soul. All of it is lined up ready to reveal itself to me.
I choose satisfaction. I choose fun, ease, appreciation, love and joy as my point of attraction. I start here and now to follow the current of ease. I let go of resistance. I deeply trust and allow all the good to come to me. I am one with source and I am whole. I choose the path of least resistance. I trust the path of most allowing.
